冬天長毛兔的飼料以草糠、麥麩、胡蘿卜等為主，草糠發酵后適口性好，兔子愛吃。在飼料中加一些芹菜葉，能提高兔子的食欲。飼料要干拌，并增加飼喂次數，白天喂5次，晚上喂1次，有條件的每隔2天喂1個雞蛋，能促進兔毛生長。
